Collection: V- & V-ribbed belts
V- & V-ribbed belts
V & V belts are an indispensable part of your diesel engine. V-&Multi belts often drive the following parts: Water pumps, Dynamos, Superchargers, Compressors, Hydraulic pumps.
Maintenance of V- & V-ribbed belts
V- & V-ribbed belts have to endure a lot and are constantly subjected to heavy loads, which is why it is necessary to keep them at the correct tension so that the belt cannot slip under heavy loads. You almost always tension V-belts on the alternator. Multi-belts are wider multi-rib belts that are kept under tension by a tensioner in combination with a roller. These should both be replaced as soon as there is the slightest play on either component.
Timing belts
Timing belts are wide, toothed belts that provide the drive between the crankshaft, camshaft and almost always the water pump. It is very important that this part is installed correctly. If the engine is not set correctly on time or the timing belt is not set tight enough, you run the risk of serious, irreparable engine damage. Do not replace it yourself if you do not know what to do, consult a mechanic!
