An impeller ensures proper cooling of your marine engine, without this essential part your engine will not function properly. An impeller must be replaced periodically. If you do not do this, you run the risk of a defective impeller and all its consequences. An impeller is a fairly sensitive part of your engine, a broken impeller can have various reasons. For example, your impeller pump may be worn out, causing there to be too much space on the impeller pump shaft. Your impeller may have run dry, causing a cooling fin to break off and the impeller to not function properly.
